Matthew Lincoln is a Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney. He is the founder of Lincoln IP.

Matt’s technical background is in physics and mathematics, and he has considerable experience of advising clients across a range of engineering disciplines.  Matt’s practice is centred around the energy industry and he has a particular interest in strategic portfolio management, IP due diligence, and IP litigation support. 

Matt was a patent examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office before turning to private practice in 2000.

Matt is recognised as a “Patent Star – Scotland” in the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) IP Star rankings.
